The hope is that we can build off this first workshop and create a focused series of workshops.  Future workshops would focus in on topics such as keeping crawl spaces dry, water damage remediation, expediting the claim process, the fundamentals of house elevations, etc.  We’re optimistic that we’ll be able to host future events at the Waterworks building, but for now, we are thrilled to have an opportunity to share what we’ve learned about Flood Adaptation since our office flooded during hurricane Matthew. As contractors, my team and I have completed several house elevations and flood damage remediation projects. We haven’t seen it all by any measure, but we think we’ve seen enough to start sharing some best practices.
